Founded by director Eva Sampson and writer Teresa Burns, How It Ended makes ambitious, original theatre for young people.

 

In 2016, our production of The Little Gardener, based on the picture book by Emily Hughes, was awarded The Outdoor Performance Commission by Lyric Hammersmith, Watford Palace Theatre, GDIF and Latitude Festival. The production toured the UK, culminating in a series of performances at the National Theatre’s River Stage and in 2021, enjoyed a successful summer run at Kew Gardens.

 

In 2022, our critically acclaimed production of Wild by Emily Hughes premiered at The Unicorn Theatre and enjoyed a sell-out run across the Easter Holidays.
